The executives at Pantone Institute of Color described Classic Blue as “solid and dependable” and reminiscent of the sky at twilight.

Classic Blue, according to Pantone, is a shade that is meditative, thought-provoking and, stimulating just like the sky is at dusk. It was chosen for two qualities people definitely require when crossing the threshold into a new era: dependability and stability. It is embossed as a tranquil color that brings a sense of tranquillity to the human spirit, and that is why Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, says it fosters resilience.
